Phil Rosenberg

Phil Rosenberg

Philip Rosenberg, a long time fixture in the Greenwich Village chess scene, learned how to play the game in his early 20’s in Washington Square Park. He developed an affinity for the tactical side of the game, and has often found its application relevant in other areas of life. A former radio producer and political talk show host, Philip enjoys an extremely modest relationship with citizen-journalism to this day. For Phil the most rewarding aspect of teaching chess, is nurturing a passion for the game in kids that might otherwise find it merely a passing fancy.
