Chess NYC's philosophy in Chess Instruction is to emphasize sport and fun and provide as much chess instruction as a child can bear...but not more......In doing so and providing supervised, spirited play, each student associates Chess with fun, and therefore larger numbers of them ultimately excel or @ least become proficient in the great, significant, game of chess. In keeping with this principle but not diminishing the importance of the game, New York City Chess has created a special curriculum that ensures each student continues to come back for more...and loving it....
